4-Minute Facial

Pregnancy has had some clear perks–a glowing complexion, lush locks, fast-growing nails. But it also has a drying effect on your skin…couple that with already dry skin, and I’m in need of extra, extra moisture. I couldn’t wait to get to Sundara for that facial I mentioned yesterday (don’t forget to enter to win the spa getaway) and give my face some much-needed TLC. After an hour of “Advanced Resurfacing,” I walked out feeling like myself again. Not to mention, my skin was baby soft.

But like massages, I get facials very rarely. It’s one of my favorite indulgences, and every time I do, I question why I don’t go more often. But I mean, who has the money and the time? I see it as a treat. So when the Sundara team sent me home with the very products they use from HydroPeptide to recreate my own spa experience at home, I was elated. The next week when I was feeling kind of mehh one morning, I used the Polish & Plump Peel combo and instantly felt better. Unlike many masks and facial products I’ve tried, this one doesn’t require you to sit around for 10-30 minutes while it works its magic. It takes just four minutes. That’s it. Microdermabrasion with zero downtime; talk about an instant refresh. And it’s a total secret weapon–your skin is smooth and glowy after those four little minutes. I’ve been using it once a week.

Every morning, I’ve also been using the Power Serum and ultra-rich Power Lift moisturizer. Now I start my day with well-moisturized and illuminated skin. And since my beauty philosophy is based on good skincare over lots of makeup, it helps me quickly throw on the little makeup I do wear and get on with my day. Happy to have these in my daily skincare arsenal.

What are your go-to products when your skin needs a little extra love?

  • Hi Lauren! I love HydroPeptide products. We carry them at the spa where I work and the polish and plump peel is one of my favorites. I love how it leaves my skin and my client’s skin as well. By the way, I recently came across your blog and I love it 🙂
