As a new mom, time is more precious than ever. Thinking about what to wear is the least of my worries when there’s a little one to feed, to soothe, to play with. I’ve quickly adopted a “mom uniform” of sorts, which really means going back to my pre-baby favorite combo of a button down and jeans. The biggest difference these days is that my shirts are selected for washability and my shoes are chosen for comfort. I’ve been gravitating toward pieces that are simple and classic, like this check button down and these high-waisted jeans, and I recently added this pair of caramel-colored ballet flats to my short list of wardrobe go-tos. I love how well they work with everything in my closet, how comfortable they are for weekend errands (until snow comes), and how easily they fold up for travel. And the pop of turquoise lends an unexpected dose of fun!
